Our purpose is to promote the stature and awareness of colored pencil art as a viable art form and to provide a forum for the education of, communication with, and the recognition of colored pencil artists.
Colored Pencil paintings are gaining recognition in the art world; and today they are valued by galleries, museums, and private collectors. The artists who work in this medium have joined together to further the exposure of colored pencil art by forming a non-profit organization known as the “Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA)” — founded in 1990 by Vera Curnow.
